Gender Integration

DevTech Systems Inc. (DevTech) has more than 15 years experience conducting gender analysis, equipping practitioners with tools to better address gender in their programs, and advancing gender-aware policies. Transferring skills in gender integration to clients and partners in all sectors adds value and ultimately leads to better and more equitable results. DevTech designs gender training modules, and offers follow-up technical assistance to match client needs. Tools and training are tailored to each client in order to assist them in effectively applying new skills and knowledge to their programs.

Performance Measurement and Data Quality

DevTech Systems, Inc. (DevTech) has 20 years of experience monitoring performance of US government programs and conducting data quality assessments. The firm’s skill set includes: designing results frameworks and performance monitoring plans, identifying and defining performance indicators, developing data collection instruments, and conducting field surveys to measure baseline, benchmark, and target indicators. The firm provides training in designing results frameworks, collecting data, conducting public awareness surveys, adoption of policy reforms, and measuring changes in socio-economic conditions attributable to program interventions. DevTech has compiled large global data bases of socio-economic statistics and made these available in print and online.

Cultural Outreach and Translation Services

The JBS Center of Excellence (CoE) in Language, Culture, and Diversity helps clients reach audiences in culturally relevant ways through written and oral communication, training and technical assistance, and assessment and evaluation. We help ascertain how a particular group utilizes services, elicit information from typically difficult-to-reach populations, and provide culturally relevant technical assistance and training. Our staff is multidisciplinary, multicultural, and multilingual, with national and international experience. We can collect data, conduct focus groups, create publications, and provide language translation in 20 languages other than English. We have worked in every State and Territory and in more than 110 countries. 

Analytics

Management Concepts specialized Analytics training courses are designed to help individuals make sense of vast amounts of data in order to make quality decisions and answer their organization’s toughest questions. Integrating modern management thinking, traditional analytical techniques, and practical technologies, our courses provide the skills needed to manage and interpret data, assess risk, and communicate analysis findings.

Grants & Assistance

As the leading provider of federal grants and assistance training, Management Concepts teaches courses in government wide grants requirements and best practices to personnel from federal awarding agencies, pass-through entities, and recipient organizations.  Our curriculum includes more than 20 courses, ranging from basic topics such as the grants process and how to apply grants to advanced issues such as assistance law and performance measurement for grants.  Out Grants Management Certificate Program sets the standard for fundamental, comprehensive, professional education for grants personnel.

SEI Introduction to CMMI v1.2

Introduces systems and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and engineering process group members to CMMI® fundamental concepts, which help organizations improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services.  These concepts are an integration of best practices from proven discipline-specific process improvement models.

This course fulfills an official SEI Introductory CMMI course requirement.

The course is composed of lectures and class exercises. Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the components of CMMI models and their relationships, discuss the process areas in CMMI models, and locate relevant information in the model.

Practical Software and Systems Measurement (PSM)

The goal of the PSM training is to provide managers with the objective information needed to successfully meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives on software intensive/system development programs. PSM defines an issue-driven analysis approach, which helps the manager make informed decisions. This is the standard PSM version of the course which the Consortium provides as a PSM Transition Organization. This course teaches students the basic skills needed to select and apply measures.

The intended audience for this course includes managers, measurement specialists, and software and systems engineers responsible for defining a measurement program for their organizations and projects.

Facilitator Training Program

The Facilitator Training Program is a three-day course designed for those whose responsibilities include leading a team or task force, conducting meetings, and facilitating group decision making. By the end of the program, participants will:
• become familiar with a simple, practical framework for designing and leading effective meetings and group planning sessions
• understand and be able to use a range of techniques for developing and maintaining consensus
• learn skills to deal with disruptive, difficult meeting behaviors, and
 • gain an increased sense of confidence and take on a greater leadership role within their organizations.

This course is offered three times a year to the public at TRG’s offices in Arlington, Virginia.

Organizational Development Training Services
