Integrated Project Management Using Earned Value Management This course looks at earned value management (EVM) from the ground up. It will cover government policy that mandates the use of EVM, understanding what EVM really is and what it is not. It looks at EVM systems that provide the basis for EVM implementation that are compliant with the ANSI 748 (latest version). There is a thorough discussion of baseline development and its importance for EVM data validity. A thorough look at the EVM data allows the student to understand what information it is providing. The class also covers maintaining the baseline to insure program performance validity. The class includes lecture, discussions of “real world” challenges of implementing EVM systems and “hands on” exercises to better understand how the data is developed as well as what it provides to the user. Students are encouraged to bring their current performance management questions/challenges to the class for discussion. The training is provided at the customer site.

| T.R. Edgar & Associates | Although it seems odd, many
Project Managers do NOT understand their role, particularly the part
about Business Development (performance-based marketing). This course
clarifies the PM’s role and responsibilities and defines, through
the discussion of a case study, how their performance directly
contributes to the organization’s profitable growth. The handouts
and the case study are the primary tools for learning.
The Course also includes 2 additional modules, one on Contracts and one on SubContracts. It is intended that these courses be taught by someone in the Company’s Contracts/Finance Departments. Some minor refinement of the Course’s content may be necessary to reflect the unique company processes and policies. The Final Module is a course on Teambuilding, the same content as that included in the General Management set of courses.
