The goal of the PSM training is to provide managers with the
objective information needed to successfully meet cost, schedule, and
technical objectives on software intensive/system development programs.
PSM defines an issue-driven analysis approach, which helps the manager
make informed decisions. This is the standard PSM version of the course
which the Consortium provides as a PSM Transition Organization. This
course teaches students the basic skills needed to select and apply
measures.
The intended audience for this course includes managers, measurement
specialists, and software and systems engineers responsible for defining

The Facilitator Training Program is a three-day course designed for
those whose responsibilities include leading a team or task force,
conducting meetings, and facilitating group decision making. By the end
of the program, participants will:
• become familiar with a simple, practical framework for designing
and leading effective meetings and group planning sessions
• understand and be able to use a range of techniques for
developing and maintaining consensus
• learn skills to deal with disruptive, difficult meeting
behaviors, and
• gain an increased sense of confidence and take on a
greater leadership role within their organizations.
This course is offered three times a year to the public at TRG’s
offices in Arlington, Virginia.
