Customer Focused Task Forces:
Air Force
Contracting Task Force
Formed at the request of the Air Force, this
partnership with the USAF Program Executive
Officer (PEO)/Services works to identify
critical success factors relating to
services acquisition and practical tools to
improve the Air Force's acquisition of
services. Focuses primarily on human capital
issues, A-76 implementation,
performance-based services acquisitions, and
innovative business models.
Army Contracting Agency Task Force
Provides a
forum through which critical contracting issues can be
raised and discussed among senior Army and industry
representatives. Currently, the partnership is focusing on a
series of key challenges to the effective implementation of
competitive sourcing in the Army. Additional issues, such as
the balance of small business vice full and open
competition, contract types, and more, are planned for the
coming months.
Defense Acquisition University
Task Force
Implements PSC’s partnership with the Defense Acquisition
University, under which PSC is working directly with DAU on
key training and education needs and opportunities. PSC has
developed and will be delivering for DAU a module on
business risk and management to be included in DAU’s new
required level II acquisition certification course for
services acquisitions.
Health and Human Services
Task Force
Identifies pressing acquisition policy
issues affecting member companies that
provide professional and technical services
to the Department of Health and Human
Services (HHS) and its agencies. Provides
member companies with opportunities to share
best practices regarding HHS activities and
a forum to discuss emerging HHS business
issues with senior HHS and HHS-component
officials.
International Development Task Force
Focuses on the acquisition policies and
strategies of the United States Agency for
International Development, State Department
and other U.S. government agencies, plus the
World Bank and other international
development funds, relating to the technical
assistance and economic development work
performed by for-profit companies
world-wide.
