Acquisition Policy Committee Working Groups:

Contractors on the Battlefield Working Group
PSC’s principal forum for dealing with the full range of complex issues associated with battlefield contracting and the related plethora of personnel, security and other issues. The working group also led PSC’s Iraq contracting “lessons learned” initiative with the U.S. Army and the association’s ongoing involvement with the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction, and will remain the focal point as statutory and regulatory changes continue to emerge in this critical area.

Federally Funded Research and Development Centers Working Group
Focuses on government-wide policy relating to the limitations on the creation, use and funding of federally-funded research and development centers and similar quasi-governmental agency entities that benefit from sole-source contracts or are otherwise unfairly subsidized by the federal government.

Outsourcing and Privatization Working Group
Develops PSC strategies for combating anti-outsourcing and anti-competitive sourcing legislation and policies. Works with individual government components on issues associated with the implementation of competitive sourcing programs.

General Counsels Committee Working Groups:

Intellectual Property Working Group
Formed under the guidance of the PSC General Counsels Committee, this cross-functional working group focuses on changes needed in law and regulations to protect the intellectual property of member companies when doing (or seeking to do) business with the federal government.
