What are the current health and safety protocols for the conference?

  • All guests and associates will be required to wear masks at the Westin Arlington Gateway regardless of vaccination status. 
  • Masks will be available on-site. 
  • There will be hand sanitizer stations throughout the conference spaces. 
  • Per the CDC guidelines, it is recommended to keep 6 feet distance (about 2 arm lengths) from people who don’t live in your household. 
  • The ballroom will be set in round tables with 6 chairs at each. There will be ample space so that you can be socially distant to your comfort level.

What are the directions and parking instructions?

For more information on the venue and how to get there, please click here . Valet parking is available at the hotel for a discounted rate of $12.  You can also park at Ballston Quarter  (formerly Ballston Common Mall), which is a quick 2-minute walk to the hotel. The Westin is also accessible by the Metro Orange and Silver Lines (Ballston Station), and is only a short walk from the metro station.

Will speakers be in person?

Our speakers for this conference will be mostly in person, with the exception of the 1:50 p.m. - Collaboration to Deliver JADC2 panelin which our panelists will be participating virtually with an in-person moderator. 



    Virtual Access FAQs

    What will the conference platform look like?
    The conference will be presented over a trusted professional events platform. If you’ve used any video conferencing solution in the past, this platform will offer similarly recognizable tools. A mockup of the platform will be available shortly.

    What is new about the 2021 conference?
    The 2021 Defense Services Conference will be held in-person and virtually! On August 17, virtual attendees will be able to engage with and participate in as many sessions as they would in a traditional on-site conference.

    How do I register?
    The registration process remains the same. Click here to register. The PSC team will ensure that you have all that you need leading up to the conference.

    How much does it cost to attend?
    $345 for members
    $495 for nonmembers
    Complimentary for government 

    Will recordings be made available?
    Yes! While we’re looking forward to all coming together at the same time for a shared, live experience, we know that many people's schedules are in constant flux right now. Recordings of sessions will be made available for all registrants following the conference. This way if something comes up and you can’t attend for the entirety of the event, you will be to view the session on demand. A link to the recording will be sent to you in a follow-up email upon completion of the virtual conference.

    How long is the virtual conference?
    The 2021 Virtual Defense Services Conference will be about 4 hours long. From 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.

    How will the sessions work?
    Just like an in-person conference, the sessions will begin at specific scheduled times. Speakers will present through a live video stream that will begin automatically once you’ve clicked your individual access link. As an attendee, you will have access to a variety of widgets on that same screen. You will be set to listen-only mode (muted and without the ability to share your webcam). Once registered, we will provide more direct and detailed guidelines for navigating this new experience.

    When will the agenda be available?
    Our conference agenda and list of speakers will be available in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details!

    Can I share my registration link with another member of my team?
    No, the registration link cannot be shared. The virtual platform is designed to send registrants unique links to access the 2021 Virtual Defense Services Conference. This means that only paid registrants will have access.

    What if I need support during the conference?
    If any support is needed, please email events@pscouncil.org so we can troubleshoot for you.

    Do I need to have a webcam to attend in the virtual conference?
    No, you do not need a webcam to attend the virtual conference. You will be in listen-only mode.

    Are there social media hashtags for the conference?

    Are there sponsorship opportunities available for this conference?
