DESCRIPTION
Attend the virtual release of the PSC Federal CIO Survey Report, in partnership with Maximus, for a summary of the 20+ interviews conducted with federal CIOs. Gain an understanding of federal IT leaders’ top challenges and priorities, the forces that are driving change in government IT, and trends that reflect shifts in how agencies are developing and delivering tools. This timely discussion will highlight successes and challenges in federal IT modernization over the last year, and also explore factors impacting both federal IT executives and federal contractors in support of agency missions, including:

FEATURED SPEAKERS
Stephanie Sanok Kostro
Executive Vice President, Policy, PSC
Stephanie Kostro is Executive Vice President for Policy at the Professional Services Council, where she leads a strong policy team that is committed to advocating for and supporting productive collaboration between the federal government and services industry. As a   recognized executive, on-air commentator, and policy expert with more than 20 years of experience in the U.S. Government and industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge in federal procurement policy and acquisition regulations, government processes and   programs, and public-private partnerships.

 Prior to joining PSC in 2021, Kostro was a Principal at a government relations and consulting firm where she developed and implemented policy, funding, and business development strategies for a global client base. She worked extensively with civilian, defense,   diplomatic, and intelligence officials, as well as with federal departments’ oversight committees in Congress.



Simon Szykman 
Senior Vice President for Client Growth, Maximus
Simon Szykman serves as the Senior Vice President for Client Growth, leading sales and business development and enabling the go-to- market strategy for the Maximus U.S. Federal Services Segment. In his prior role at Attain, he was a Partner and served as Chief Technology Officer. Simon brings more than 20+ years of experience in various fields related to government information technology. His previous roles include serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, CIO of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Senior Policy Analyst in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and the first Director of Cyber Security R&D at the Department of Homeland Security.



PSC POLICY LEAD

Christian Larsen
Senior Associate, Public Policy, PSC
Christian Larsen joins the Professional Services Council (PSC) as Senior Associate, Public Policy. In this role, Christian will support PSC’s polices and priorities in the defense and technology sectors.

Prior to joining PSC, Christian served as a legislative research associate and most recently as manager of strategic programs at the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). In both these roles, Christian assisted NDIA’s Policy Department on small business issues and defense issues relating to foreign military sales (FMS), export control reform, and the international political landscape surrounding these issues. Christian has also served as an intern with Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), and in the United States Senate.
