Cybersecurity Policy Working Group With ODNI & DHS Officials

PSC will host a 2-person panel discussion with officials from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

We expect a FAR rule on cybersecurity, and the stand-up of the government-wide commission required under the Secure Technology Act co-chaired by the Secretary of Defense and the OMB Director. The objective of the May 3 discussion is to gain insights regarding implementation of the Secure Technology Act and related cybersecurity policies as well as to discuss how information sharing can be improved between industry and government.
Following the panel, PSC staff will be available to discuss other developments regarding this topic. Members are also encouraged to bring forward any related with respect to DoD’s implementation of cybersecurity policy.
About this working group:
The PSC Cybersecurity Policy working group was established to address three primary topics, including:
1) Consistent implementation of DFARS cyber clause and related policies across DoD (and other agencies’ related initiatives)
2) Near-Term Acquisition strategies and policies regarding DoD’s “4th Pillar” concept
3) Long-Term DoD approach to Cyber Policy (Offense and Defense) and the role of contractors.
