House VA Tech Subcommittee Staffer to Address GAC

  June 7, 2019
12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Holland & Knight Conference Center
800 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006

Sarah Garcia, Majority Staff Director for the House of Representatives Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Technology Modernization,
will address PSC’s June GAC meeting. The Subcommittee has jurisdiction over the Department of Veterans Affairs’ major IT projects and technology modernization programs, as well as cybersecurity, data privacy and management, and technology innovation at VA. Sarah brought deep contracting knowledge to the Committee when she joined in October, 2018 after seven years working for the Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs. The second half of each meeting is the information exchange, where up-to-date information and materials on relevant issues and recent policy developments are disseminated and discussed.

About the GAC

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) meets the first Friday of every month and is often referred to as “the best information exchange in town.” Each meeting features a special government guest discussing, on a non-attribution basis, one or more critical legislative, regulatory, or other policy issues. The second half of each meeting is the information exchange, where up-to-date information and materials on relevant issues and recent policy developments are disseminated and discussed.
