PSC Members Participate in DISA Reverse Industry Day

By Amanda Swanson | December 6, 2017

On December 6, PSC facilitated a Reverse Industry Day training event for DISA employees to better inform the acquisition workforce about industry approaches and processes. Eight representatives from PSC member companies participated. Government keynote speakers included DISA Acting Procurement Services Executive Frank McHenry. Approximately four hundred DISA employees attended the session, including those who participated virtually.

The first session covered “The Importance of Sections B, C, L, & M to the Industry Decision-Making Process.” The following topics were covered: (a) Industry Pre-Award Actions Along Program Lifecycle; (b) Industry Costs for Acquisition Efforts (c) Understanding the Need (Section C); (d) Pricing (Section B); (e) Evaluation Criteria (Section M); (f) Organizing & Formatting a Solicitation (Section L). This discussion was followed by a session on the “Importance of a Quality Debriefing.” Both sessions generated valuable discussion for both industry and government.
