DHS Holds First Reverse Industry Day

On November 12, DHS held the first Reverse Industry Day training event for DHS employees to better inform the workforce about industry approaches and processes. DHS Chief Procurement Officer Soraya Correa and Chief Information Officer Luke McCormack kicked off the event and several PSC members participated. Panel discussions were held on the following topics: How Industry Decides to Bid (or Not); Responding to a Solicitation – Cost Drivers to Industry; How Access to Information Affects Industry Processes, How Industry Interprets Evaluation Criteria, How Industry Views and Reacts to Decisions in the Award and Post-Award Phases, and the Importance of a Strategic Approach to Industry. DHS Under Secretary for Management Russ Deyo offered closing remarks. The event was a successful first-of-its-kind discussion and similar events are likely to occur in the future.
