PSC Congratulates Joe Biden on Being Declared President-Elect

Arlington, Va. (Nov. 9, 2020) The Professional Services Council (PSC) congratulates President-elect Joe Biden. PSC also extends congratulations to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, whose achievement represents such great strides for diversity and inclusion.

As a non-partisan organization, PSC will work with his administration to support a better federal government. More than ever, America needs to rebuild its trust in government, and the best way to do that is to have a government that works well, with vital support from skilled contractors. PSC looks forward to working with the Biden transition teams during the next 10 weeks on key issues and opportunities for that needed improvement. We also look forward to working with the 117th Congress that will convene in January.

We know that contractors provide access to talent and skills, flexibility in using those skills, vigor in pursuing improved and innovative systems and processes, and enormous value for taxpayer dollars. Contractors have responded in true partnership with their government customers during the COVID-19 health emergency to keep the government operating, ensure worker safety, and move forward with needed improvements across all federal missions.

However, there are important actions that cannot wait for either the next Congress or the next administration. PSC urges this Congress to enact full-year appropriations that prevents the need for another Continuing Resolution and a COVID-19 response bill that keeps the federal and contractor workforce intact and available as the public health emergency continues.

At PSC, we commit to supporting better government operations and outcomes, and we look forward to working with the next administration in making that mission a reality.
