Northern Virginia Chamber and PSC Announce 2022 Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ Winners
Mike Daniels Named Hall of Fame Honoree and CALIBRE Systems Program of the Year 
Winners Were Announced at the 20th Annual Awards Gala on November 2  


Tysons, VA (Nov. 3, 2022) – The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (Northern Virginia Chamber) and Professional Services Council (PSC) named Mike Daniels the 2022 Hall of Fame Honoree and Lesley Anne Field this year’s Public Sector Partner during the sold-out 20th Annual Greater Washington Government Contractor AwardsTM (GovCon Awards). The GovCon Awards are the premier awards event for the Washington area government contracting community. Seven winners in both the Contractor of the Year and Executive of the Year categories were also named. 

Daniels is a globally recognized business entrepreneur, technology industry leader and investor. He has been directly involved in creating over $50 Billion in shareholder returns in high growth technology companies and holds a Wall Street record for one of the greatest returns on any investment in a five-year period, from purchase to sale. 

“It is an incredible honor to be named this year’s Hall of Fame honoree. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with various businesses and startups to help them achieve success,” said Daniels. “As our industry continues to evolve, we will offer enduring innovation through talent and technology for generations to come.” 

Field is the Deputy Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Executive Office of the President, and is currently serving as Acting Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy. Her office is responsible for developing and implementing government- wide policies to support over $650 billion in federal contracting each year. 

The purpose of the GovCon Awards is to honor the exceptional work of the leaders and businesses in the region's government contracting sector. The award categories include: Contractor of the Year in four revenue categories and Executive of the Year in three revenue categories.

The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation (Foundation) was named the GovCon Awards’s 2022 Charity Partner. The Foundation is a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to building a stronger Northern Virginia community by developing programs that provide innovative solutions to our region’s workforce challenges. 

“It was a great honor and opportunity for the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation to be selected as the 2022 Charity Partner for the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards. We raised over $4,350 during the Gala that will help fund the Foundation’s workforce innovation programs, including the GovCon Cohort of the Greater Washington Apprentice Network,” said Kathryn Falk, Market Vice President, Cox Communications Northern Virginia and Chairman of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Over $300 Million: Jason Providakes, MITRE
