Opportunity for PSC Members to Present at DAU Contracting Course and DAU IT Acquisition Management Course

By PSC staff | February 25, 2019

PSC is seeking guest speaker volunteers for Defense Acquisition University’s (DAU) "Contracting for Decision Makers" course (CON 360) and Advanced Enterprise Information Systems Acquisition” course (ISA 301) for the following dates:

CON 360

  • April 4th at Hanscom AFB, MA

ISA 301

  • Thursday, March 14th in Port Hueneme, CA
  • April 4th at New Cumberland, PA
  • April 18th at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
  • April 18th at Battle Creek, MI

At the CON 360 sessions, the guest speaker will provide an industry perspective on how companies approach potential business opportunities, including how industry makes bid/no-bid decisions and assesses risk.

At ISA 301 sessions, the guest speaker will provide an industry perspective on how DoD acquires and manages information technology, with a focus on the factors and decisions industry considers when bidding on and performing IT procurements.

We have a set of slides to provide a common baseline approach to the training and discussion, but the most significant value to the students is the personal experiences of the presenters and candid conversation.

We hope you or other experienced executives in your company will consider volunteering at these sessions.  We are looking for one speaker for each session. Please share this notice with members of your company who are located in the listed area. Regrettably, neither DAU nor PSC can defray any expenses.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. Please email Marielle Roth at roth@pscouncil.org if you are interested in participating in this opportunity or have any questions.
