On Thursday, August 7, PSC partnered with the NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Office of Procurement to host a dynamic Reverse Industry Day—a full-day event designed to strengthen collaboration and communication between NASA and its industry partners.
The event brought together government and industry leaders with the shared goal of enhancing the procurement process and building stronger partnerships. Through a series of engaging discussions, panels, and a unique role-play exercise, participants explored how to bridge communication gaps and navigate the complexities of the federal acquisition lifecycle.
One of the day’s highlights featured PSC members performing a mock bid decision role-play, offering NASA KSC officials a behind-the-scenes look at how companies approach government solicitations. This interactive session shed light on how businesses interpret requirements, evaluate risk, and make bid/no-bid decisions—insight that is critical to crafting clearer and more effective government solicitations.
NASA KSC leadership also shared their challenges in working with industry and led a panel discussion focused on current acquisition topics. These candid conversations underscored a shared commitment to improving transparency, alignment, and mutual understanding throughout the procurement process.
We extend our sincere thanks to the PSC member companies who contributed their time and insights to the event: PQC Solutions, CGI Federal, Lockheed Martin, Global Exploration Advisors, FMP, KBR, Amentum, and the Institute for Digital Environment Advancement.
Events like these are vital to strengthening the partnership between government and industry and ensuring mission success. We look forward to continuing this important dialogue and building on the momentum generated at Kennedy Space Center.
