Nitin Natarajan was appointed to serve as the Deputy Director for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on February 16, 2021. Prior to joining CISA, Natarajan served in a variety of public and private sector positions spanning over 30 years.
Most recently he served as an executive with consulting firms within the National Capital Region, providing subject matter expertise on a variety of topics, including cybersecurity, homeland and national security, critical infrastructure protection, environmental emergency management, continuity of operations, and health security matters.
Natarajan also held a number of federal government roles to include Deputy Assistant Administrator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Director of Critical Infrastructure Policy at the White House/National Security Council, and as a Director at the U.S. Health and Human Services overseeing healthcare and public health programs.
Prior to serving in the federal government, Natarajan served in positions at the state/local government level and served as a hospital administrator in New York.
At the beginning of his career, Natarajan spent 13 years as a first responder in New York, which included service as a flight paramedic. He was the Commander of a federal medical response team, based in New York, and has extensive experience deploying to natural and man-made disasters throughout the nation.
He holds an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York and a graduate degree from the United States Naval Postgraduate School.

The 2024 PSC Annual Conference is proud to support the Jessie Rees Foundation as its conference charity. Their mission is to encourage every kid fighting cancer to Never Ever Give Up!
As part of our support, attendees will be participating in a hands-on service project to create Jessie’s JoyJars, which are stuffed to the brim with new, age-appropriate, hospital-approved toys, games and activities for Courageous Kids battling cancer, aged 0 – 18 years.

PSC's Annual Conference is located at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The Greenbrier is a 4 hour drive from National Capitol Region, a 3 hour drive from Richmond, Virginia and a 1.5 hour drive from Roanoke, Virginia. Conveniently near both the Greenbrier Valley Airport, which serves united flights from Dulles and Chicago, and the White Sulphur Springs Amtrak Station.
Things to Do in the Area
Located among a picturesque mountainscape, The Greenbrier provides a wide variety of on and off property activities. On property includes access to a PGA level golf course, tennis and pickle ball courts, hiking trails, shops, and a private casino, just to name a few. If venturing off property, explore the local towns of White Sulphur Springs and Lewisburg.
