  Admiral Gary Roughead, USN (Ret.)
Co-Chair, National Defense Strategy Commission
Admiral Gary Roughead, USN (Ret.), is the Robert and Marion Oster Distinguished Military Fellow at the Hoover Institution. Admiral Roughead graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1973. In September 2007, he became the twenty-ninth chief of naval operations after holding six operational commands and is one of only two officers in the navy’s history to have commanded both the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets. Mr. Chao is a founding partner of Renaissance Strategic Advisors and a co-founder of Enlightenment Capital. Mr. Eldridge is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development & Communications at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Lambert was an Executive-in-Residence with Renaissance Strategic Advisors, a Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a Senior Fellow at the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and served on several corporate boards involved in national security. Tyler J. Robinson is the Head of M&A Strategy for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this capacity, he has responsibility for supporting Lockheed Martin business areas with strategic identification and qualification of investment and divestment opportunities, development of internal business cases, and overall investment pipeline management. Tyler is chartered to bridge business area goals and objectives to actionable transaction opportunities. For potential investments, Tyler supports the assessment of strategic rationale, industrial logic, as well as business case development.
