What will the conference platform look like? The conference will be presented over a trusted professional events platform. If you’ve used any video conferencing solution in the past, this platform will offer similarly recognizable tools. Check out the virtual conference mockup below.
What is new about the 2021 conference? The 2021 Tech Trends conference has gone virtual! Although not what we’d originally planned, the online conference will allow everyone in the PSC community to participate safely. On May 25, attendees will be able to engage with and participate in as many sessions as they would in a traditional on-site conference.
How do I register? The registration process remains the same. The registration link will be available shortly. Once registered, the PSC team will ensure that you have all that you need leading up to the conference.
How much does it cost to attend? Advance Registration Fees [before May 11]: $245 for members $395 for nonmembers Late Registration Fees [May 11 - 25]: $295 for members $450 for nonmembers
Will recordings be made available? Yes! While we’re looking forward to all coming together at the same time for a shared, live experience, we know that many people's schedules are in constant flux right now. Recordings of sessions will be made available for all registrants following the conference. This way if something comes up and you can’t attend for the entirety of the event, you will be able to view the session on demand. A link to the recording will be sent to you in a follow-up email upon completion of the virtual conference.
How will the sessions work? Just like an in-person conference, the sessions will begin at specific scheduled times. Speakers will present through a live video stream that will begin automatically once you’ve clicked your individual access link. As an attendee, you will have access to a variety of widgets on that same screen including Group Chat, Q&A, resources, and polling. You will be set to listen-only mode (muted and without the ability to share your webcam). Once registered, we will provide more direct and detailed guidelines for navigating this new experience.
When will the agenda be available? Our conference agenda and list of speakers is available in the 'agenda' tab of this website. But check back frequently as sessions and speakers can change!
Can I share my registration link with another member of my team? No, the registration link cannot be shared. The virtual platform is designed to send registrants unique links to access the 2021 Virtual Tech Trends Conference. This means that only paid registrants will have access.
What if I need support during the conference? If any support is needed, please email events@pscouncil.org so we can troubleshoot for you.
Do I need to have a webcam to attend in the virtual conference? No, you do not need a webcam to attend the virtual conference. You will be in listen-only mode.
