Our Work to Support Veterans

At ICF supporting veterans’ and veteran family members’ overall quality of life has always been top of mind. From helping veterans cope with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to providing veterans with mental health resources, we’re taking the lead to help make the veteran community more resilient as they transition back into civilian life. As a company founded by a former Tuskegee Airman, we truly understand the benefit of ensuring veterans have the support and resources needed for this transition. And this includes our own team, which includes veterans at every level who bring their expertise to our ranks. Their unique lived experiences allow us to identify core issues in the veteran community and provide the best assistance for veterans, service members, and their loved ones.

One of our top veteran-led projects is with the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Transition Assistance Program. We developed and maintain the Vets 10 app to assist veterans, service members, and military spouses transitioning back into the workforce. Using Salesforce technology, we’re enabling veterans, service members, and their partners to gain personalized and hands-on support in finding gainful employment. From updating their resumes to identifying roles aligned with their skills, we’ve facilitated thousands of veterans’ transition into roles paying well above federal and state minimum wages. Over time our goal is to integrate Vets 10 with other government databases, like the National Directory of New Hires and the Veterans Data Exchange Initiative to promote more job equity.

ICF is committed to serving the veteran community and will continue finding solutions for the complex and dynamic issues facing the veteran community.
