Position Summary

PSC is seeking a Membership Associate to support member recruitment, retention, and engagement, with a strong focus on prospecting and sales. This role will help identify and engage prospective member companies, support renewal efforts, maintain accurate pipeline and membership data, and contribute to the overall growth of PSC’s membership base.

The ideal candidate is confident in outreach, comfortable building relationships, and motivated by helping convert prospects into members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a prospect pipeline of target companies across the government contracting community.
  • Conduct outreach by phone, email, and in person to engage prospective members and support the full membership sales process.
  • Support renewal campaigns through timely follow-up, tracking, and member communication.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and member records, including activity tracking and data entry in PSC’s association management system.
  • Coordinate internal follow-up related to onboarding, invoicing, renewals, and member activity.
  • Prepare regular membership reports, pipeline updates, and status summaries for leadership.
  • Represent PSC at events and help build strong relationships with current and prospective member company representatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, membership, or a similar relationship-focused role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in professional outreach by phone, email, and in person.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Comfort learning and using databases, CRMs, association management systems, or similar platforms.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional team.
  • Attendance at PSC events, which may occasionally include early mornings, evenings, or offsite locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a trade association, membership organization, or professional society.
  • Familiarity with the government contracting, federal services, or association landscape.
  • Experience with an AMS or CRM platform such as iMIS, Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar system.
  • Experience supporting reporting, data management, or membership operations.

Location / Work Arrangement This is a full-time hybrid position based in Arlington, Virginia. The role includes both in-office and remote work, with regular in-person attendance for select PSC meetings and events.
Employment Type Full-Time
Compensation $62,500–$70,000, depending on experience
