Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel issued a memo directing “defense managers to prepare to furlough most DoD civilians for up to 11 days.” Furlough notices to individual employees are expected between May 28 and June 5, with furloughs beginning by July 8 and continuing through the end of the fiscal year on September 30, at a rate of one furlough day per week. PSC will update the resources and information on our Sequestration Center and work with congressional and administration officials to encourage a solution to sequestration.
