PSC Responds to National Science Foundation AI Action Plan RFI

On March 14, 2025, PSC submitted comments to the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) request for information (RFI) on the “Development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Plan,” as published in the Federal Register on February 6, 2025.

In comments to NSF, we applauded the government's focus on fostering competition and innovation in the federal marketplace while maintaining U.S. leadership in AI and other emerging technologies. We also highlighted the significant value federal contractors bring by enhancing government efficiency and supporting critical agency missions with expertise that complements federal capabilities.

PSC’s comments covered the following priority areas included in NSF’s RFI: (1) procurement; (2) application and use; (3) explainability and assurance of AI model outputs; (4) risks, regulation and governance; (5) education and workforce; (6) export controls; and (7) technical and safety standards.
