The Coast Guard is seeking an industry perspective on USCG Sustainment Contracting. This member company dialogue is to identify PSC member companies that are interested in USCG sustainment contracting and have unique perspectives to share with the Coast Guard during a planned meeting in December 2018. There will not be a USCG representative at this meeting.

Topic:
How the USCG contracting and procurement process can strengthen industry communication in the sustainment line of businesses (to include helicopters, planes, cutters, icebreakers, etc).

Objectives:
*  Build awareness for USCG personnel (military and civilian) on the value of transparent requirements in sustainment acquisitions.
*  Educate USCG personnel and industry on the challenges associated with technology data rights and how that impacts competition and competitive pricing.
*  Increase the awareness about industry’s innovation practices and how USCG could potentially incorporate innovative process capabilities within our sustainment requirements/acquisitions.
*  Generate business process improvement ideas and actions that both USCG personnel and industry can implement for enhanced mission execution.
*  Generate ideas on how USCG personnel can define and measure performance-based outcomes on sustainment acquisitions.
