PSC Call with USAID DCHA/DRG Cross-Sectoral Program Team

  May 23, 2017
2 p.m.
Teleconference Only

On Tuesday, May 23, at 2 p.m., PSC will host a call by officials from USAID to discuss Applied Political Economy Analysis as it related to foreign assistance.  The Cross-Sectoral Programs Division of the Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance Center has been promoting a political lens to be applied to all sorts of development programming. Rooted in the understanding that development outcomes are inherently political, this approach aims to better understand the contours of the politics around an issue and allow programming to be responsive to those dynamics. It is anchored by the use of an Applied Political Economy Analysis tool, but also spans a number of adaptive implementation techniques that allow programs to respond to emerging conditions, both threats and opportunities. Please register for the call to receive dial-in information and a copy of the discussion document.
