Comprehensive Health Services, LLC (CHS) is an international expeditionary healthcare company that prioritizes patients’ safety, desired clinical outcomes, and the satisfaction of patients, clients and staff. The CHS teams deployed overseas work hard, train often, and save lives. CHS provides, administrative and clinical care to include out and inpatient services, with general surgery, dental, public health, EMS, and veterinary services across the Middle East.
CHS supports the US Department of State in Iraq by providing clinical services at 5 locations. We provide care across all the locations to a standard consistent with accepted US Clinical Practice Guidelines.  In June 2018, CHS upgraded its CT scanner from a 16 slice to a 64 slice. The 64 slice provides better images (including 3-D images that help identify abnormalities), quicker scan (leading to less radiation used), and greater sensitivity to detect disease and injury. We also provide outreach programs on base, to encourage good health practices, both physically and behaviorally.

In addition to caring for all personnel under Chief of Mission authority in Iraq and Afghanistan, CHS supports a major Foreign Military Sales program at the Balad Air Base in Iraq where we provide a Level 2 plus medical facility, complete with in and out patient care, general surgery, dental and EMS services.  In all our patient care facilities, our patient satisfaction rate is 97% or better.

CHS is also a strategic partner with AAR providing Search and Rescue (SAR) Technicians and Flight Medics. CHS SAR Technicians in Afghanistan provide the capabilities of emergency medical care and evacuation with their years of tactical and operational experience in recovery of friendly forces in hostile Theaters of operations. They are highly skilled in para-medicine, evacuation, extrication, mass-casualty operations, team combat tactics and rescue procedures in all environments. CHS Flight Medics in Iraq are highly skilled Flight Paramedics that provide 24/7 response to medical emergencies in the Iraq theater of operations. They are highly skilled in flight medicine and critical care medicine and are an integral part of the flight crew.

CHS also provides international veterinarian services to the Department of State to provide long-term, comprehensive medical management for the explosive detection canines in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Morocco.  The presence of our explosive detection canines in the Middle East helps demonstrate the interconnection of the human, animal and environmental concept of a “One Health” community as well as a cross-cultural exchange of information and ideas.  The working relationship between the canines and their handlers exhibits the importance and usefulness of the human-animal bond.  The care the veterinarian provides validates the status which the canines should be afforded. 

CHS also provides end-to-end solutions for humanitarian assistance and health related development projects worldwide.  CHS specializes in mobile and static clinical medical support, medical supply chain management, and local language medical staffing.
