PSC Hosts “Protecting Our Borders” Capitol Hill Event to Showcase Industry’s Role in Border Security
Media Roundtable on Sept. 17, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET with PSC Leaders and Federal Contracting Company Representatives
Arlington, Va. (September 16, 2025) -- The Professional Services Council (PSC), the leading trade association for government contractors, successfully hosted more than a dozen federal contracting companies at its Capitol Hill event, “PSC on the Hill: Protecting Our Borders,” held Tuesday in the Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. The event showcased the vital work these companies do to support border security.
The event brought together government contractors, policymakers, Members of Congress, and key staffers to discuss the private sector’s essential role in supporting U.S. government border missions through advanced technologies, infrastructure, logistics, and mission support services.
Companies that participated in the Hill event include Accenture Federal Services, American Systems, AWS, Arc Aspicio, ASRC Federal, GDIT, Harmonia, Leidos, MANTECH, Parsons, Peraton, and SOSi. These PSC member officials shared how industry capabilities and solutions—in partnership with, and under contract with, federal agencies—can bolster our nation’s border security.
“Effective border security requires a combination of innovation, agility, and strong partnerships,” said James Carroll, CEO of PSC. “Contractors play a vital role in helping agencies operate efficiently, quickly respond to national challenges, and deliver solutions to the American public.”
Federal contractors also commented on the importance of this event and their border security mission:
"The Professional Services Council created a critical forum that allowed us to demonstrate SOSi's operational capabilities across the continuum of border security, immigration adjudication, and enforcement activities. Our goal was to equip government leaders and policymakers with a clear understanding of the innovative solutions we offer to protect our country's national security," said Julian Setian, CEO of SOSi. "In addition to intelligence, language, case management, and full-spectrum operations, maintenance, and life support solutions tailored to immigration enforcement, SOSi offers strategically located facilities with turnkey services for immediate deployment when capacity matters most.”
"MANTECH is a key partner in supporting the Department of Homeland Security's mission to enhance border security and safeguard the United States," said Richard Smith, Vice President & Division Manager, Homeland Security Division, MANTECH. "Our AI and other innovative solutions help DHS prevent terrorist attacks, intercept illegal drugs, combat human trafficking and stop a full range of threats in their tracks. We appreciate the opportunity today to demonstrate to Congress how we're always advancing national security."
"Peraton's commitment to CBP [U.S. Customs and Border Protection]’s mission drives our investment in cutting-edge surveillance technology, AI-driven analytics, and next-generation infrastructure. Through these advanced capabilities, we protect communities, enable lawful commerce, and actively disrupt those who threaten our nation's security. The administration's strategic approach recognizes that modern border protection must balance safety with prosperity, keeping America secure while promoting economic growth and national resilience,” said Amy Rall, President of Peraton’s Citizen Security and Public Services Sector.
PSC also unveiled its Protecting Our Borders Compendium, which features real-world examples of effective and innovative border security solutions developed by federal contractors. A digital version is available at hill.pscouncil.org.
This event reinforced PSC’s commitment to fostering constructive dialogue among federal agency, legislative, and industry officials. Such dialogue serves to highlight (1) the critical contributions of PSC member companies over the years to U.S. border security missions; (2) the cutting-edge solutions that industry can offer going forward; (3) efficient and effective acquisition approaches by which the government can solicit, acquire, and field needed capabilities; and (4) the importance of continued government-industry collaboration throughout requirements and contracting processes.
Tomorrow, September 17, 2025, at 2:00pm ET., PSC is hosting a virtual media roundtable with reporters to provide federal contractors the opportunity to share their work in support of the U.S. border security mission.
Reporters can RSVP for this roundtable at media@pscouncil.org.
