PSC Applauds Senate Action on Evanina Nomination

Arlington, Va. (May 6, 2020) The Professional Services Council (PSC) today applauded the Senate’s vote to confirm William Evanina as the Director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC). PSC issued the following statement:

“The NCSC Director plays a critical role in many issues important to the nation as well as for PSC member companies and the contractor community, including the government-wide security clearance process, supply chain risk management efforts, and counterintelligence threats. Director Evanina is uniquely qualified to fill that role.

With the significant challenges and disruptions from COVID-19’s impact on the intelligence community, the government and the contractor workforce must continue to work together to meet mission needs and deliver results.

A Senate-confirmed nominee with the qualifications and experience of Director Evanina is key to success.

At his confirmation hearing, Chairman Burr said that Acting Director Evanina ‘has proven time and again he has the real-world experience and professionalism our country needs to navigate increasingly complex threats to both the public and private sectors.’

PSC wholeheartedly agrees. We applaud the Senate’s action today and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Director Evanina.”
