PSC Applauds Senate Confirmation of Mark Green as USAID Administrator

Arlington, V.A. (Aug. 3, 2017)— The Professional Services Council applauds the Senate’s unanimous confirmation of former Ambassador Mark Green as the new Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

“The Senate’s unanimous decision to confirm Ambassador Mark Green affirms that his deep experience and his extensive track record of leadership in the international development field have prepared him well for this new role.  His recent work as the head of the International Republican Institute and his years of service as the U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania make him very familiar with the vital contributions of U.S. development contractors who are implementing foreign assistance programs," said PSC President and CEO David Berteau.

“Our team here at PSC, along with our Council of International Development Companies, look forward to meeting with Administrator Green to discuss his priorities for the agency. PSC has long supported the vital role of USAID for U.S. and global security as well as the unique capabilities and value that our member companies provide to both the U.S. government and the American taxpayer.”
